LL.D (Italy) LL.M (Southampton)

Mr Lorenzo Macchi obtained his LL.D with distinction at University of Pisa in 2011 with a dissertation in Maritime Law. He worked as trainee lawyer in Italy and London covering a wide range of practices area such as litigation, corporate, dispute resolution and arbitration. He attended several English Law specialisation courses in London before arriving in Southampton where he completed an LL.M in Maritime Law. 

Lorenzo speaks Italian, English and Portuguese and he is member and volunteer of Bhalobasa ONLUS, which provides humanitarian services in Africa, India and South America.

His expertise are: shipping, international commercial  arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, trade & commodities, real estate, port & terminals, multimodal transport and logistic.

LL.B (Turkey)  LL.M (Southampton) Ph.D (Germany)

Ms Sinem Ogis obtained her LL.B at Yasar University (Izmir – Turkey) in 2013 where she triumphed as 3rd ranked in her Law Faculty. In 2011 she attended European Court Of Human Rights 14th International Summer Academy performing a presentation about Article 5 of the European Convention of Human Rights.  In 2013 she was awarded both the Best Student of Yasar University 2013 and Jean Monnet Scholarship supported by European Union. Ms Ogis successfully completed an LL.M in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton in 2014 with a dissertation on Powership. At the moment she is employed as research assistant at the University of Augsburg in Germany and writing her Ph.D on insurance law. Ms Ogis speaks Turkish, English, Italian and German.
